Meet Shara

With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Shara Wesson is a licensed medical esthetician and founder of Skin By Shara Aesthetics, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since the age of 18, Shara has dedicated her career to helping women look and feel their absolute best through intentional beauty, corrective skincare, and overall wellness.

While her Charlotte, NC clinic serves in-person clients seeking high-end, white-glove skincare experiences, Shara has expanded her expertise globally through virtual skin consultations and customized online skincare programs. She has helped women across the United States, Asia, Africa, and Europe achieve healthy, radiant skin — proving that true expertise is not limited by geography.

Shara lives and breathes aesthetics, skin health, and wellness. Her philosophy is simple: when you look good, you feel good — and when you look and feel good, you move through the world with confidence and power.

Shara's Journey

Shara's journey began as a professional makeup artist working with prestigious brands such as Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Laura Mercier. During this time, she developed a deep understanding of how beauty influences confidence — and how many skin concerns could not be covered, but needed to be corrected. That realization led her to become a licensed esthetician at the age of 21, where she discovered her passion for advanced skin health and science.

Before opening her practice, Shara worked under dermatologists, gaining hands-on clinical experience with complex and severe skin conditions. Working alongside medical professionals allowed her to understand skin at a deeper level — from acne and hyperpigmentation to aging, inflammation, and compromised barriers. This foundation gave her an education that extends far beyond traditional esthetics training.

Shara operates under medical delegation and is a licensed medical esthetician practicing with active physician oversight. Skin By Shara Aesthetics currently maintains medical delegation within the practice, ensuring clients receive treatments that align with both clinical standards and elevated care.

Today, Shara is known for delivering personalized skincare experiences tailored to each individual client. No two treatment plans are alike. Every service is strategically customized based on skin condition, lifestyle, internal health factors, and long-term goals.
